When an individual and/or family are out of balance, there are consistent cycles chronic illness and/or dis-ease, stressful life events or changes, anxiety and other ailments. These cycles only increase in intensity over time and force the family to choose to live in denial of their own personal needs and the needs of their spouse and children. Family members might also seek passive and/or aggressive ways to free themselves from the constant emptiness and loneliness they experience by way of alcohol or drug abuse, extramarital emotional or physical relationships, verbal and/or physical violence, or emotional detachment, to name a few.

THE JOURNEY TO A BALANCED LIFE: Reflections of Faith, Love and Hope in Re-Defining Self & Family in the Midst of Divorce is a way for individuals to successfully begin the journey of re-balancing their lives during this major transition. It does not focus on the legal process but instead motivates Friends (former spouses) with making choices that will help realign them with a path in life that (1) encourages a more positive relationship between the two friends, their children, and extended family members; (2) reopens their lives to opportunities that promote a sense of purpose and overall well-being; and (3) allows for the friends to maintain their commitments and vows with integrity to their Higher Self (God), themselves, and their children.
