It’s hard to believe that summer is already over and we are at the beginning of our beautiful fall months. What a perfect time of year to talk about integration.
Integration can mean many things to us throughout our lives. How can I best integrate this new child into my marriage? How can I better integrate my own personal values with the ways in which I spend my money? How can I better integrate my focus on holistic practices and preventative care with my choice of some conventional health care methods? How can my children integrate well at their new school?
Life is a magical, miraculous process that is constantly shifting as new experiences, people, feelings, and lessons come in while others may be departing. We grow and change along the way. I know for me, I make many different decisions now in my life than I made even five or ten years ago. The elements of my life - my activities, my thoughts, the events that fill my days, are reflective of the inner changes. As I’ve grown and changed, I’ve integrated different elements and choices into my life to reflect those changes.
One of the reasons that I’m so excited about the feature article this month is that I simply believe this work to have a powerful potential. Despite our best efforts, it can be difficult to fully release memories, traumas, and patterns within our lives that no longer serve us. The Journey Work is a healing modality of which I just recently became aware. I, personally, have found it to be powerful and transformative. One of the reasons why I wanted to highlight this modality for this issue is not only because it is so potentially powerful but also because it allows you to use your history, your memories, your vision to help you to release those areas of your life that are no longer serving you well. If you are new to the Journey Work, I think you’ll enjoying discovering it through the words of our feature columnists, Bob and Claire Levy.
CoSozo as a whole is about empowering folks through knowledge, helping you to incorporate methods that are alignment with your beliefs and values, and providing information and resources that can help you make the decisions that will enable you to live the life of your dreams. We hope this issue that focuses on integration will continue to help you along that journey. And we thank so many of you for letting us know the impact that CoSozo has had in your life. We do what we do, ultimately so that we can all lead happy, healthy lives so your feedback is so valuable to us and helps us to know what has helped you along the way.
In ways big and small, whether we do it professionally, personally, or both, we are all here to help one another. And in my own experience I can say that I learn from so many of those interactions. I believe that we incorporate and integrate into our lives the wisdom of the experiences we’ve had with one another. Whether we are trying to teach a lesson or not, we are all changed by one another and if we can begin to pay more attention to the wisdom that each of us has to share, we all benefit.
Even more importantly perhaps than the lessons we can learn, the wisdom we can all gain, is the growth we gain from the service of helping one another. It is with that passion and intention that we do what we do at CoSozo.
Enjoy the beginning of fall, and the opportunities that renew for us all each day to share more of ourselves with the world, through our choices, our actions, our thoughts, and our words!
